Hollins Hall golf course is built to USGA standards, and its fantastic drainage systems and quality surfaces make it an all year round golfing venue. It’s not the longest golf course, so distance won’t be a problem for most players. The biggest challenge is the huge greens, many of which are undulating and will test your putting to the limits. The greens are often surround by strategically placed bunkers, meaning that accurate iron play is also essential for a good score. The signature hole is definitely the 14th, an extremely tricky par 4 which requires you to avoid a fairway littered with hazards from an elevated tee. If you successfully negotiate the fairway bunkers and water hazards, you are then left with an uphill 2nd to a two-tiered green, framed by the 19th century viaduct that gives the hole its name.
