Old Thorns enjoys a wonderful location in a 400 acre estate, overlooking its own championship golf course.

Golf course

This 6,581 yard, par 72 championship course was designed by Commander John Harris who is one of Britain's best known course architects. Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas completed it in 1981.

Our view: Old Thorns

This is a real golfers venue. The small hotel has a real country house feel with an excellent restaurant and brasserie, whereas the mature parkland course makes great use of the surrounding rolling hills and natural lakes and springs.
